Year-Over-Year Change in Golfers
In 2020, the U.S. golf industry had its largest net increase in on-course golfers in 17 years. There were notable increases among juniors (ages 6-17), beginners, women and minority participants.
In addition to the largest-ever recorded increase in beginners 2020 saw the most significant gain in youth golfers since 1997, the year Tiger Woods broke through for his first major title.
