Pandemic Golfer Gains by Gender
While on-course participation levels rose by 2.3 million from 2020 through 2023 -- to nearly 26.6 million green-grass participants -- it's females who have accounted for a greater proportion of these gains. Notably, women and girls represented over 60% of the net increase in recent years even though they make up about a quarter of the green grass golf participant base.
