NGF Research Snapshot: Streaming Golf
Golf has considerable reach — with 107.2 million Americans (more than one-third of the U.S. population) either playing, watching or reading about the game.
The number of people watching streaming coverage of golf tournaments continues to increase and may become increasingly commonplace in coming years as more consumers gravitate toward different media options and “cut the cord” with traditional cable TV service.
Those who watch streaming golf coverage tend to be more engaged with the game overall, including being 33% more likely to have purchased golf clubs last year.
