Mid-Year Club & Ball Shipment Trajectory – 2022
The accompanying graphic reflects U.S. golf club and golf ball shipments, in cumulative dollars, at the midway point of the year. The light green line indicates year-to-date shipment trajectory through June 2022, with an 11% increase in total shipment dollars over 2021. This rise is in part due to increased equipment costs rather than increased demand, with impacts of inflation, supply chain shortages and higher material costs, but also more new product launches than the past two years during the pandemic. Shipment dollars in 2022 are up 49% over 2019, the most recent pre-pandemic year.
