Golf Instruction by Average Score
The more highly-skilled golfers (who shoot lower scores) are more likely to take golf instruction -- with nearly 30% of those who regularly score below 80 taking professional lessons. But it's the less-skilled golfers -- the nearly 18 million whose average score tops 90 or 100 -- who account for the most lesson-takers not to mention about two-thirds of total lessons. They're also responsible for the bulk of the revenue in the overall golf instruction market.
