November 2024 National Rounds Played
Play gains in the Northeast and Southern U.S. provide late-season boost
Posted: December 30, 2024

November rounds saw a 3% year-over-year gain on a national level, virtually assuring that 2024 will finish with another record-setting play total.

With just one off-season month of rounds left to track in 2024, year-to-date play remains 2.6% ahead of 2023’s pace, when a record number of rounds were played at U.S. facilities nationwide.

Warmer November temperatures yielded noteworthy YOY play gains in the New England (+34%) and Mid Atlantic (+21%) regions, where rounds during this time of year are limited significantly by seasonality. Rounds were also up notably in the South Central (+9%) and South Atlantic (+7%) regions, the former of which includes Texas (+12%) and the latter including golf-rich states such as Georgia (+12%) and the Carolinas (+8%).

Winter weather unfriendly to golf had the opposite impact throughout states in the Mountain region, with Colorado (-42%) seeing the biggest decline in November play compared to a year ago.
