June 2024 National Rounds Played
Peak season month sees moderate increase, with biggest gains in the Northeast U.S.
Posted: July 29, 2024

Rounds of golf in June were up 1.2% compared to the same month a year ago, helping keep the industry slightly ahead of last year’s record pace for play.

At the midway point of 2024, year-to-date rounds are trending 2% ahead of 2023. Last year, there were more rounds played at U.S. golf courses than at any other time in history.

June rounds were up in five of eight geographic regions, with the most signficant gains in the Mid Atlantic (+7.2%) and New England (+5.2%). While New Jersey and Pennsylvania both saw rounds increase year-over-year in June, it was New York (+10.6%) that had among the most noteworthy monthly increases in play of any state. Only Colorado (+15%) had a bigger June jump in YOY play.
