Rounds of golf in June 2022 were up about 3% compared to a year ago, ending a three-month run of year-over-year declines in national play.
In what’s one of the two highest-volume months of the year, June rounds saw generally limited fluctuation compared to June 2021 — with single-digit percentage gains in five of the eight geographic regions. The other three regions saw declines between 1% and 5%, the most significant being in the Pacific Region, where there was twice as much precipitation as a year ago.
Midway through 2022, play is down about 6% compared to the record-setting pace of 2021, when there were more rounds played at U.S. courses than any time in history.
