Equipment Sales – Through Summer 2023

Following up on the midyear momentum for golf equipment sales, 2023 shipments through September continue to trend ahead of recent years -- and significantly ahead of the most recent pre-pandemic year. Club shipments are flat versus a year ago (in dollars), meaning the primary driver for the +5% year-over-year increase has been a 13% year-to-date increase in golf ball shipments. With play levels continuing to indicate 2023 will be one of the top years for rounds in U.S. history, demand for golf's ultimate consumable remains high -- including golf ball shipment levels 65% ahead of 2019.
