At Midyear, How Close Are 2023 Rounds to Record Pace?
The most recent rounds report details that 2023 mid-year play is up 5.5% compared to the same period in 2022. Last year was one of the top five years on record for play, mind you. Beyond the year-over-year comparison, it's perhaps even more meaningful that we're only about 1% off the record-setting pace at the midpoint of 2021, a year in which there were more rounds of golf played at U.S. courses than at any time in history.
