MCO vs Self-Managed Comparisons
The accompanying chart details the similarities and differences between self-managed golf facilities and those that are working with third-party management companies. While a slightly higher proportion of municipal and private facilities work with MCOs than compared to overall supply, the biggest differences are in price point and course length. As the data table indicates, it would be much more likely to find a 18-hole course with a green fee above $70 that works with a third-party management company than a value-priced 9-hole facility.
