How 2021 Rounds Compare to 2020 Entering Q4
September marked the third straight month that rounds played were "down." However, that's a relative term compared to 2020, when play surged throughout the summer and fall thanks to a limitation on a wide variety of other activities and family vacations, coupled with favorable golf weather. Consider that while play this September dipped 8% relative to a year ago, rounds in September of 2020 had experienced a 25% increase. What's notable, as seen in the graphic below, is that the latest rounds trajectory (green line) continues to track ahead of recent non-Covid years (black line).
