March 2018 National Rounds Played
March National Rounds Played Report 2018
March rounds-played were down 3.8% across the U.S., bringing the national, year-to-date total to -5.6% compared to a year ago. This is an improvement over year-to-date number through February of -7.2%.
The fact that March accounts for about as many annual rounds as January and February together, and was down less than these prior two months helps explain the modest improvement in the year-to-date figure.
Fewer rounds in Midwest states, from Nebraska to Ohio, contributed to the overall deficit for the month.
It appears that people in parts of the Northeast, including New York and Connecticut, were experiencing some “Spring Fever” as rounds were up during March in each of those states. Rounds were also up in parts of the South Central region, from Alabama to Texas.
Short Game.
