Latent Demand for On-Course Golf
The number of non-golfers who express high levels of interest in taking up the traditional game has reached record levels, climbing above 22 million in 2023. This total has doubled over the past decade, a trend that is largely attributable to the rise in off-course forms of golf. Those who participate in grassless forms of the game are far more likely to express interest in taking up traditional, on-course golf, often having developed confidence and competence in hitting a golf ball with a golf club before they step onto the first tee of an actual course.
