Annual U.S. Rounds Played
The total number of rounds played hit record levels in 2023, boosted by sustained demand and one of the warmest years on record. The 531 million rounds played at U.S. courses eclipsed the previous high from two years earlier by 0.3% and marked the fourth straight year of 500 million rounds. The "Covid-era" surge in rounds come despite about 2 million fewer golfers and 1,500 fewer golf facilities than in the early 2000s.
